This requires Access 2007 and SQL 2005.
1. Create a new table with a recordID identity PK field and datetime field in SQL 2005.
2. populate table with 100k records(can be the same date)
3. link table in access 2007(doesn't matter if it's mdb or accdb)
4. Open table
5. Click the "External Data" ribbon menu item
6. click in the date field to see if it hangs up.
7. Click in recordID field
8. Click the home ribbon
9. click in the date field. It freezes up on me for up to 30-40 seconds when I do this.
If anyone is feeling bored and would like to reproduce, I'd appreciate it.
