Acceptable reasons to be looking for a new job

On a job interview, they ask you why are you looking to change jobs.....

The real reeason being more CA$H, but you can't really say that......what are some things you can say?

EDIT: its computer support type work

Standard answer is "Looking for something more challenging." More challenging=more reward 😀

is it okay to say you have become frustrated with the current company politics?

or does that sound like YOU have a problem?

I am looking for a more challenging and rewarding position in the IT field, a place where I have room to grow and better myself.

"I am about to get fired anyway so I thought I'll look around. By the way, do you have a Sexual Harassment policy?"

I WOULD NOT put that. You shouldn't make it sound like you have any disgust for the current company you work for.

Try not to say anything bad about your previous company or co-workers.

Not unless you want to be labeled a rebel.

This really isn't a difficult question to answer, regardless of your actual reasons.

"I truly appreciate the opportunities and experience that my current employer has afforded me, but I'm looking to get my hands on some new technologies and fresh experiences."

There is no room for advancement at your previous employer (note: this will not fly if your previous employer is a large, well-known company)

To expand my portfolio of experience, to earn more money and to do what the technology industry itself does, move forward rather than become stagnant or move backward.

(for an IT or tech based job anyhow)

hows that?

If you put it like that, they'll think you're just using them as a stepping stone to the next better job. They want people who are going to stick around.
