That is only in Boston area, and eastern part of the state/ maybe some parts od RI and NH. For Western MA and much of CT and VT, we do pronounce the "Rs". :)

I've been in the US for 11 years now, I am 21, and I still carry the Chinese accent. My tongue is just too lazy.

EVERYONE has an accent. You just don't pay attention to it if it's what you're used to.

People spot me as a New Yorker so I guess I do.

I've been out here 45 years (sigh).

I pronunciate all the letters in a word (no cutting of words) and use the correct grammar in a british accect. Some people think I talk a little posh.

After a few beers, however, my language becomes foul and I sound more like a regular mechanic or something.

I used to have a nice Atlanta drawl, but after nine years of living in KC I sound like goddamn Flanders on the Simpsons.

Some peeps think I have the steroetypical, good upbringing, middle-class English accent - I would tend to disagree since I was born in the South West of England with a Bristolian Twang.

I have fought for many years to try and become accent-less (I konw it's never going to happen)

Example: The Bristle Dictionary

I've been told that I have a slight Baltimore/Maryland accent (if that means anything).

I pronounce Baltimore "Balt'more" and Maryland "Mare-lind".
