A friend of mine was telling me about a guy he works with who has this thing as a toy in his car. Apparently they're supposed to measure acceleration, horsepower, 0-60 times and 1/4 miles times. I did a little searching and found this.

GTech Pro performance meter

It sounds really cool, like it'd be fun to just mess around with. Anybody ever used one? How close are they compared to track measured times?
 
How does this hook up to the car besides being plugged into the cigarette lighter for its power?
