I would really appreciate the help before making the final decision of buying Accelero X2. I've read many reviews about it, and serched the forum, but does anyone know how well does it cool the memory? I haven't seen (atleast remember seeing) any results of memory temperatures compared to stock HSF. All the results show the GPU temperatures (is there a way to check the memory temps anyway?).

Few sites that I've seen show that Accelero doesn't give actually more overclock compared to stock cooler, but I'm interested to know, since my X1900 works on the edge overclocked at 700/800 when I set the cooler to work at 100% fan speed. With dynamic control I start having artifacts at above 685/785. It works stable at 675/775. So if it cools better it would be possible to run the card at around 690/800.

But I'm mainly aiming for more silent, but cooler than stock HSF use. How loud is this thing at 100%, compared to stock cooler? And does this thing come off once installed (one of my main worries)? If I understood correctly the memory pads of Accelero stick like glue, so am I able to reseat the stock fan later if needed, and how easily does it come off (if it comes off at all)?

From what I've heard throughout this forum the temps aren't lowered hugely. They are lowered a bit. But the fan at 100% is still pretty much dead silent.
