Ac68u and networking issues, cannot map drive

I am frustrated. Many attempts to access the 64gig usb 3.0 drive attached to my AC68u router via windows is not working. I can however access using an ftp client (cumbersome) and I can also access it and map it via the web using asuscomm.com. When I try to map the network drive locally I get and error saying "the network name cannot be found." in addition, attempts using lan speed test, netstress do not work either because it apparently cannot see the drive location I specify, yet I know its right. I can however access the network drive via browser using FTP://.

What am I doing wrong? what can I do?

Thank you .

Do you mean specifically that you are searching for it and it isn't showing up? Or you see the drive in file explorer network view, click on it and hit map network drive and that is the error it is giving you?

What about browsing to it by hitting run and typing in //machine_name? Then trying to map it?

It does not show up when I go to the network on left hand side of computer. The problem exists when I to map the drive.
1. I press "map network drive" on top in computer from start menu.
2. This prompt me to input location.
3. Upon input of location it gives me the error stated in OP.

I can access the drive right now via asuscomm.com on my ftp clients right now but that is through the Web not locally.
