I don't see why if you are interested in the VGA Silencer for an X800 you don't want to buy an X800 with the Silencer already on it and warranty.Originally posted by: shakattack
Nah, I was looking for something like the AC Silencer that you can just sort of, clip on. Not a whole vid card with cooler on. Anyway, its not a must to have it, the x800 would work fine without it too right? I was just gettin a bit scared since I just read a post about someone whos card is gettin really hot.
The heat from a conventional GPU cooler is sent back into the case. The Silencer DHES directly exhausts the heat out of the case. Silencer is still a big improvement over the reference X800 design.Originally posted by: ForceCalibur
Um, VGA silencers aren't even needed this time around. We get QUIET fans, AND cooler temperatures than the last R350/360 batch of GPUS.
