Explain to me why we aren't going after these soldiers? This is disgusting.

From the Telegraph article:

The latest photographs relate to 400 cases of alleged abuse between 2001 and 2005 in Abu Ghraib and six other prisons. Mr Obama said the individuals involved had been ?identified, and appropriate actions? taken.

They have been. Read your on article before making a fool of yourself.

yes, but what exactly are "appropriate actions" for rape? Sounds to me like the soldiers got a slap on the wrist and the military protecting itself. :disgust:

I don't have any "savior." I'm an atheist. I'll leave it to the laws of man, and in particular, to the laws of the United States of America and international laws against torture to deal with the Bushwhacko criminals who established authorized, ordered and condoned the abuse at Abu Gharib, Guantanamo and elsewhere.

hearing this kind of news makes me feel queasy and sick.

There's defending our nation.. there's torturing prisoners for information (nevermind right now whether one agrees with the torture or not), and then there's just infliction of cruelty for no good reason.. 🙁

Yeah I saw that document that Bush sent out saying to rape the prisoners at Gitmo.. its amazing.

Those soldiers involved will probably be suicided before they are ever allowed to testify against the higher ups.

You think Bush et al. authorized, ordered, and condoned the soldiers raping prisoners? 😕

The specific nature of a given manor of abuse is not the issue. We KNOW they established authorized, ordered and condoned the entire regime and environment for the abuses committed at Abu Gharib, Guantanamo and elsewhere.

I don't see what the big deal is. Just soldiers blowing off steam is all

"This is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation and we're going to ruin people's lives over it and we're going to hamper our military effort, and then we are going to really hammer them because they had a good time. You know, these people are being fired at every day. I'm talking about people having a good time, these people, you ever heard of emotional release? You ever heard of emotional release?" -- (Guess who!)

Well c'mon you parrots, lets hear it - was he "just out of the loop" ?

That's an interesting site. I found:

The USA military has pillaged and raped the American Indians and the Mexicans in the southwest in the same way they are now doing to the Iraqis. Even today, naive Latinas who join the US Armed Forces are being brutalized and raped by racist Jews and white military personnel. They are being recruited for the exclusive enjoyment of depraved US Jewish and white military personnel. If they are doing this within the US military ranks, what can Iraqi men and women expect in their own occupied land? The brutalization of people of color by white military armed forces is a historical fact.

I hadn't know there was anti-Semitism in the Latino community, but there you go. And it's good to know that while there's rape in the armed services, only white people are doing it.

Yeah, definitely some anti US anti Israel op-ed crap littered about in there. I don't hold the position that there is any perfect source though, the pics and some choice quotes were what I was aiming at. Even Fox's website has some factual stuff on it - I think this is where the adage "Even a broke clock..." comes in. Like pretty much any source, a certain amount of "sifting" is required... I'm sorry you don't feel compelled to address the topic, but thanks for going after the messenger.

I think it's good to know that while atrocities are being committed in our name, at least the real, pressing danger of website bias is being exposed. Phew!

raped by racist jews in the military? I'm not sure what's more outlandish, a campaign of jews raping latinas in the military or that there's jews in the US military? thought the only tough ones were in israel 🙂

I always laugh when "minorities" complain about jews. There's probably more latinos in NY and CA than there are Jews in the world.

I guess he only sent that document to a few bad apples.

Nope, but someone surely informed him that when America goes to war this shit happens and will happen

What exactly did you want 'addressed' about the topic? I wouldn't have thought anyone needed to have it explained to them that rape is a horrible crime, especially when you're representing your nation. That the actions commited at Abu Ghraib are horrible atrocities is just obvious.

Maybe if there weren't so many atheist this type of stuff wouldn't happen.

Maybe you'd like to explain exactly what this has to do with the topic. 😕

Do you just make this stuff up, or did you OD on your stupid pills, again?
