Yes, I've bought a number of things including my AVR from them. Totally legit.

My father used to take me to Abt as a child in the 80s. We would drool over the electronics there. They had a HUGE saltwater aquarium over by all the cameras and camcorders that they would use for demoing the cameras.

Anyhow, they are a real family owned business, and pretty much the best in the business.

Abt is a large seller in Chicago. They are 100% legit and generally reguarded as having pretty good customer service. Their main store is a couple miles from me.

Amazon's listing indicates the TV qualifies for their "low price guarantee." If you have any doubts, you could always check to see if abt.com is listed as one their guarantee sites.

Good to see all the positive feedback from Abt customers. I just pulled the trigger on the Panny. Should be here no later than 4/9.

Keith... I would have used Amazon's "low price guarantee" policy if Abt didn't have the 'BillMeLater' payment option. Since they do I'm all set with 6 months no interest, free shipping, and no sales tax. Same features as my Amazon card.

Woooooot!

Delivery went off without a hitch. The driver helped me unbox this beast and waited while I powered it up.

Painless experience; I had tracking info 12 hours after purchasing and the delivery Co. showed at the time we scheduled on the phone yesterday.

Thanks for posting your feedback. I've never used Abt in the past, but will consider using them in the future.

I'm pretty sure I found my new TV here;

65" Panasonic Plasma

Has anybody here ever purchased from Abt? Amazon has that same item at $1694.

Yes, but not something as humongous as a 65 incher. May I point out all the complaints on Amazon with these heavy glass plasma screens breaking in transit. Some people have said they have been shipped broken multiple times, OUCH! The larger it is, the greater the risk of a crack at some point. Make sure you open the box and inspect it before the shipper leaves and blames you for the damage.

I got this last month http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/model/TC-P60U50 at Fry's on clearance for $699. How could I resist it at that price? Literally barely fit in my Escape in the box, with the screen facing up. Had to have one end at a slight incline resting on the folded seat bottom, and move the front seats almost all the way forwards. Made for a squished and very careful hour drive, I must say. Propped some coats under the center of the box in a ball for support. I bought an android emulator dongle so I bet my TV is now smarter than the features on the "smart" ones now.

I'm sure after they broke 10 or so shipping them, the shipper was a lot more careful this time. Grats on getting one in one piece the first time.

Whatever. The 50" I bought from Amazon in '06 came by truck strapped to a pallet just like this 65" did.

Whatever yourself, if you think the shipper never broke one. Unless you think everyone on Amazon is a liar. :p
