What's with stocking up with the eggs, milk, and bread during a snow storm? If you're going to drink a gallon of milk and a carton of eggs in 24hrs-36hrs, the snow is going to be the least of your problems.
 
With all the snow already on those big free span roofs of stores and shopping centers I hope they got the snow off them or this may be enough to cause cave ins!

Hooray! Only another 24 hours until I'm shouting obscenities at the snow while shoveling. However, with a day's rest I feel ready to through myself into the thick with aplomb.

Too late. I know you mentioned cave-ins, but we've already had collapses, which I reckon are a step above.

Whew, my gf flew out from there at 6:30am. I wonder what's going to happen to homes that didn't get the snow cleared from the roof. I predict a lot of cave-ins if this storm is going to carry the magnitude of last week's.
 
it's pretty sweet. getting snowed in is just the excuse I needed to finish organizing my comic books and clean my apartment 🙂
 
Why is nothing happening here yet in Centreville? How is it snowing in Maryland, already snowed in Manassas, but isn't snowing here? INSANITY!!!

Every village, town, city in this area has laws against parking on main roads overnight when it snows. Without parked cars, it makes snow removal a lot easier for the plows. Apparently, such a rule hasn't been figure out down there because you guys don't get dumped on often enough to realize how beneficial such a rule is.

it's not really practical when you've got a bunch of multi-family homes without driveways.

This is heavier than I expected this early in the night. Expect to reach higher end of forecast range at this point. Oh boy.
 
Yeah the snow stopped in NoVA...is there a second wave coming because I was told that there would be snow tomorrow as well.
