Hahah no.. There's so much snow in my neighborhood, my Honda Fit simply will not be able to get out. Plus a huge tree fell over blocking one of the entrances.

Similar here. Of 3 exits for my neighborhood, one is blocked by cables (i think telephone lines), one by a tree, and I think the third (church/school) is open...but not plowed.

It really depends on the type of snow. Sometimes 3 feet of snow is easier to remove than 6 inches of snow. Very light fluffy snow takes minimal work to remove - just sweep back and forth with the shovel as if it's a broom, working your way down through the depth. Heck, I'll bet some of the people with light fluffy snow could have succeeded clearing their sidewalks with a leaf blower. Heavy, damp snow - labor.
 
I heard they were not that lucky yesterday in DC or VA. It was the thick heavy stuff. Down branches everywhere.
 
Got the SUV dug out, then went to get papers for everyone in the neighborhood. A few more pics of yesterday's mess:

Needless to say, Dish is down today (covered with snow), so I dunno how I'm gonna watch SB tonight :-(

Just got finished shoveling myself out. Don't need to go to the gym for a while. Unfortunately, this was the heavy, damp snow that sucked big time to move.

6-12 more inches in the forecast for Baltimore on Tuesday. I love snow, but fuck this, man. It's gonna get dangerous if we get more snow.
 
Hey all! I *JUST* got my cable back. Its safe to say we got pounded. Heres a view of the front yard:





You see the powerbox barely peeking out of the snow there? Its a little over two feet tall...




A tree that was laying across the road right in front of the house. I cut it down with a hand saw enough so people could get by. Gonna have to to some more later.




This pic shows how the snow is the wet/heavy stuff - making the trees sag bigtime.

 
FC was gorgeous yesterday. I took my German Shepherd to Timberlane's field and she ended up stuck...

Snow always looks nice, but gd is it cold, glad I live where it doesn't snow, and if I want to get to it its just a quick drive
