we (Kansas/Missouri) are supposed to get more snow on sunday/monday

just wondering which system that will be from

The one that is going to move onshore here tonight.

It is a very wet snow, just starting to accumulate in last 2 hours or so. Not even an inch yet. My guess is the temps will fall overnight and we will get hammered. If not, it was certainly muchado about nothing.

NWS has issued a blizzard warning for the metro DC area...

Anyone in college? I remember how awesome it was to get a lot of snow while living around 20k college students.

For some reason streaking naked around the loop (aka, nakid olympics, Purdue) with a bunch of other folks, chics included when I was in college might not go over so well in my neighborhood.

snow is damned fun when you've got no responsibilities like having to shovel out your steps/driveway/sidewalk at 6 am and make it to work on time on roads that haven't been plowed or salted yet. lol.

Still coming down. Looked at the weather map, not supposed to stop until noon tomorrow. I'm not going anywhere. I'll work on getting things moved around the house instead.

Yeah - it used to be all fun and games. Now I just grumble about how its going to affect my commute and grouse about clearing the sidewalk when I get home

A hundred dollar snow blower will solve most of your headaches.
Proper snow tires or chains will solve the rest.

Fuuuuuuu my life, k. Took 5 hours to get home from Purdue Univ. to Indy. Fuck 65 and its wreckless drivers! Good thing I had enough gas to sit through the 3 hour traffic jams, though, lol.

These things aren't really worth the money and storage space, considering we normally don't get storms like this.

Snow has piled up to the torso on my dog and it's still coming down. Kinda fun watching him try to run around.

Shens.
Americans love convenience. Many of them spend a hundred dollars a month for the convenience of talking whenever they want and looking online as much as they want, even though they rarely NEED either activity.

Spending a hundred bucks to get out of a little bit of physical labor sits right in line with the American Dream.
And I'm not sure about the space argument either. Most people nowadays leave their vehicle in the drive and use the garage for storage. And then they get storage units all over town.

Its all sorta funny if you think about it.

This is my neighbor. He is 6 feet tall. Its up at his knees, in some parts of the road its over his knees. I dunno why he feels like uncovering his vehicle. That van isnt going anywhere. And its still coming down heavy so really he's just making extra work for himself.

Been coming steady all night. At 2AM and 6AM a plow came by but at this time you cant tell he was ever here. I cant figure out why my nice camera is taking shitty pics, I guess it was the smeared window in between me and my subject.

^^^^^
Nice pics

Looks like it spared NYC or at least it spared the Bronx. Not a stray snowflake in the air.
