Absolute Immunity? Nope!

There are so many threads I've lost track of what's been covered and what hasn't.

A federal judge ruled that Trump can be held civilly liable for the Capitol riot. He also said Trump does not have absolute immunity from civil suits. "The court well understands the gravity of its decision," the ruling said. "But the alleged facts of this ...

Maybe Trump will be so occupied with lawsuits and criminal trials, he won't have the time to campaign. And in the same timeframe be bankrupt (only if he can't grift his pigeons).

Not a chance. A primary motivation for him to win in 2024 will be the immunity he has will in office (and the statute of limitations continues to run unfiled charges-a sweet deal from his standpoint) plus I can pretty much guarantee him granting a pardon to himself to rid His Highness of these many vindictive and baseless lawsuits that so interfere with his ability to focus his attention on governing the country (in his view).

Between now and election his main strategy will be delay and obstruct. If he doesn't win in 2024, who knows what his backup plan is-most moving and basing his assets outside of US jurisdiction.

Besides he loves to campaign. Remember how he thought covid was an unfair attack on his ability to do so.

Probably has a big enough pot from the grifting pleas to pay off NY, but then he has no power (money) to blackmail the Pub party into supporting him or they get no grift money to run for office.
He still owns that 757 that he could sell to a cargo airline if he needs money. Amazon and AliBaba apparently has a big interest in getting passenger converted freighter Boeing 757s.

Absolutely, the worst narrow body plan Boeing ever made. It's no better than their 727, just longer so it's even harder to get off and on the damn thing. I'm so glad I no longer have to travel for business.

Sigh how many topics are we going to use? This is part of the Jan 6 case. But yet we aren’t talking about it there

I have literally lost track, but this doesn't just apply to the Jan 6 case.
But technically it’s only in the Jan 6 case this ruling. The orange monkey can bring up the exact same arguments in the other cases. And no guarantee those appellate courts with even use this ruling as a guideline.

He already sold the plane and leases it back.

A twofer in one day - civil AND criminal liability. Will Georgia or NYC give us a trifecta of legal victories today?

Can't wait for the upcoming elections to be over with where Trump will once again experience the bitter taste of defeat at the hands of a doddering near centenarian and where the House and Senate will be in the hands of the Democrats. Expanding the SCOTUS should be their top priority.

Can't say/Don't know what other acts of subterfuge, sabotage, deception and malevolence the GOP is planning although it's a sure bet they're up to no good given their existing despicable track record in this regard.

Oh and Moscow Mitch? In your notoriously fork-tongued backstabbing two-timing low down dirt eating name I sing to you that old refrain "We hate to see you go, we hate to see you go, so what the fuck you waiting for, we hate to see you go..."

Clicked the title, thinking it was about the Covid virus
No, just the thought that the POTUS is above the law, King of America. Kiss the foot of the Over Lord, any criticism is political in nature... and SHALL BE PUNISHED. Bow and kiss the ground on which He walks, slave.

Well, awful as MM was (it was he who got those 3 conservative SCOTUS picks on the bench), he hasn't spoken to Donald Trump for 3 years and he did blame Trump for the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Maybe the mere nightmare of having to kowtow to Trump should he win back his dictatorship was more than enough to trigger the fight or flight response in him.

I think Dems can and will take the House.

The Senate is almost certainly going to the GOP as they are almost certainly gaining 3 easy seats (WV, Ohio, Montana) right off the bat. It's a very favorable map for them overall.

The house is gone for the GQP. Not even really a question after all the court ordered redistricting on top of Dobbs ...

The senate isn't as clear cut. WV will flip. I would be hesitant to say OH and MT are as well. Brown and Tester are very resilient. Those are by no means "easy seats". It's more likely that TX flips from Cruz TBH.
