friend went to europe and brought back a bottle (illegally), he is inviting me and a couple of friends over to try it out.... should i try it? whats the worse that can happy if i drink it? hmm... and what happens if i drink it? whats so special about it?

Go for it. Where did he get it? It's regulated in some countries in Europe just as it is in Canada here to the point where there is so little thujone (wormwood stuff) that you'll get insanely stupidly drunk before you start to feel the effects of the wormwood. You can get stronger stuff though that apparently makes you hallucinate.
