ABS Tagan BZ 900 Watt Power Supply - Ground Wire

I bought this power supply and installed it yesterday in my case. As you can see in the pictures there is a ground wire that is supposed to be attached to the case. My case is acrylic though, so I really can't use it as a ground. I attached it to one of the screws that holds my DVD Rom drive, I'm not sure if the case of the DVD Rom can be used as a ground or not... being an acrylic case I imagine any grounding still goes through the molex connector anyway.

I did search, I read in another thread that this is an 'EMI' ground... I don't know what that is. 🙂 Can someone explain? How important is it? Is there a better place for me to mount it? Seeing as my case is not conductive my options are fairly limited.

By the way, so far I like the power supply. I didn't spend the $240 it costs, Newegg had it for $170 either on special or by mistake (it was cheaper than the 700 and 800 watt units at the time) so I bought it for a decent price for a 900 watt power supply. It looks nice in my opinion, and my meager system doesn't come close to stressing it. Maybe I should get another 4870 and see how things go. 🙂 Just got to convince the wife that I need a 24+ inch monitor first. 😉

EMI-Electro Magnetic Interference. Electricity and electronics give off magnetic fields and other forms of Electromagnetic radiation. An enclosed metal box or cage is good at mitigating this....like the case around the PSU internals...I am not sure it is really that necessary. Most PSUs don't have those grounds.
