About to take AP Physics C exam:Mechanics...

I got a 2 on my AP physics exam. It sucked. I skipped entire sections.
I don't know how it differs now.

the AP tests.... US history, composition, literature, macro, micro and comparative government are to this day the hardest exams ive ever taken. GL  You couldnt pay me to do them again!

US History this year wasn't that hard. Besides, the reason they are hard because they are college level, what you expect? 🙂

Did you actually experience the slack that high school is?
Or did you just move right along to being lame?

take the AP that are applicable to the major you intended.

for example, take AP Calc and Physics if you are intending to do Comp Sci or EE.

don't take Art or Euro History because they will be useless and waste your precious party time in your latter half of the senior

do take English and US history though because it counts towards your General Ed.

however, if I can go back, I rather take Calc BC and not take Physic because I rather take Physic in college... (it is more thorough and you will get to know the professors and classmate during the labs)

and Calc wasn't nightmare hard... but certainly hard. Physics (mechanics) was a piece of cake to me.

I tried Euro History, complete waste of time, I had no intent of doing well in class, let alone the AP exam. I just wanna have 3 APs showing in my report card. turned out I rather not.

oh yeah, [Brag mode] I took regular Psychology class and applied to do the AP Psych exam anyways. got a 2. 🙂

and by all means I recommend AP course to all those who can handle it. The hardwork wellworth the scarifice. just don't take inappropiate ones

I managed to pull off a 5 on the AP Physics C. Gotta love the curve. I'm pretty sure I answered almost all the multiple choice questions right. I ended up leaving over half of the open ended ones blank. Heh.

I spent 7 hours testing this morning (Bio and Physics C). Bio turned out to be a lot easier than I thought it would be (originally went in thinking a 3, now I think I will get a 4). Physics C Mechanics was much easier than I was used to in practice testing, I even loved the part II with the Rotational Inertia (1/9*ML^2, w00t). The E&M was harder than I was used to with the practice tests. With me, I usually did a lot better on E&M, than mechanics, but on this test, I am not sure if I will pull a 5 on E&M like I did with all my practice tests. I left out 2 MC on Mech, and 6 on E&M. I do think I can still manage a 4 on both tests, even though I royally fvcked up the last E&M part II, cause if you write something down, usually you can get some credit. Based on how I know the curve works, I figure if I still get 50% of part II right, and all of the MC I answered right; I can easily get a 5 on E&M (~7 points over the general curve from the 1998 exam), so we will see what happens in July.
