What's a good martini to try? I tried a citrus fvck chilled martini @ a mid-upper class restaurent in boston last weekend and i LOVED it. it was clear with mild fruitiness yet still strong in terms of alcohol content...

It had just the right balance i was looking for: not too fruity and weak or vice versa.

Vanilla martinis are quite the fad these days...any martini is good. Just ask for a suggestion, or see if they have a house specialty.

I'd suggest finding a martini bar and having at it.

I think a Mazda 626 is a pretty decent way to start the evening.

How about a traditional gin martini? Tanqueray gin with a little dry vermouth......yum. Ask the bartender to squeeze a little lemon or lime zest on top if you want a bit of fruit flavor.

I like just extra dry martinis...I tell the bartender to just have to vermouth look at the gin and thats good enough....either that or a mazda 626

I prefer my martinis to be straight vodka, chilled, poured over 2-3 olives, no vermouth.

Shows what I know...I thought a martini was a martini! I've heard them refered to as "dry." I've also seen people ask for a twist of lemon or lime. I can't remember the last time I went out and ordered a drink?!? As I type this I am drinking a blush wine, so I'm not a tea-totaler. I just don't go out drinking.
