About to buy Monitor/HDTV Card

Hey everyone,

I'm about to buy a monitor and an HDTV tuner card.

I have about $960 to spend.

I am planning on getting the Samsung 213T 21" LCD Monitor $825 after shipping and Mail-In Rebate

That leaves me with 2 choices for my HDTV card:

ATI HDTV WONDER $132 after shipping

FusionHDTV 3 Gold ATSC/QAM Tuner Software Decoder $149 + shipping

Unfortunately, I haven't heard much great about either one of those tuners


Thus leaving me with my real dilemma.

One, I could still get 213T monitor and hold out for the MyHD PCI HDTV Tuner/Decoder card ($239 + shipping)

Or I could get the Dell 2005FPWfor my monitor instead, and get the MyHD card now.


What should I do?

the Dell and MyHD card look like a nice setup. ive had the 2001 for a while and enjoy movies on that...could only imagine on the 2005 widescreen version. the 2005 can be had for a lot better price as well

Remember the AIW HDTV card is only for AIR broadcasts so don't expect to get HD through your cable...

I like the way you think edumacated. Philippine - I only plan on using my HDTV card for OTA anyway, because I have satellite, and no HDTV card will do satellite TV.
