Sadly it is not a story I can see it in their eyes how frustrated they are with what they are being put through.

Well I live a few miles from Fort Bragg (pass through post all the time) and "I see" a quite different "story"

And Fort Bragg is HOW close to Iraq again? Hmm, strange how soldiers safe on base here in the good old USA might have a different "story" than those dying in the sands of Iraq. Pft. And the "rotating" you mention is the rotation of body bags coming back and fresh meat boarding planes to get in line for their toe tags. Grow up.

nice try, a friend of mine is based in Ft Bragg and he just came home from Iraq. He paints a very different story from which was told above. I also have friends based in Ft Benning who are routinely in and out of the country [that would be the US] doing all sorts of spec ops missions they arent allowed to talk about.

quit being a tool, and quit trying to propagate stories that are inflamatory and based only on partial opinion and little fact. when you can have someone in the service explain their experience in war to you, then you may relate their stories to us as we have to you.

Fort Bragg is home of the 82nd Airborne, Delta Force, and Special Forces group. I promise you the good people here at Ft Bragg know damn plenty about the war in Iraq..........

You grow up, I am 42 years old and served my country so STFU. You have shown your true hand you piece of Sh*t

I am older than you, served my country for 10+ years, and lost my son before Christmas in Iraq. So YOU STFU, you know nothing and could care less. Sure, you would like us to believe they are all happy and supporting our president and his choice to endanger their lives. Pft. You have shown your true colors.

Nice try? I would die for a chance for my son to come home and explain his experience of war to me but that will never happen. I wasn't happy with the war I fought in and this one is based on even less merit than vietnam. Live through a war, capture, coming home to hostility, raise a family, loose a son, and come back and tell me about experiences. Stick your tool sideways up your a$$.

They deserve to come home now.
They have done their job.
So this is the news it took so many accounts of personal experiences to understand--That the life of a soldier sucks? It's sucked since I first saw it in 2000 and the suck hasn't stopped until now. Looking ahead, there's really no end to the suck in sight. I'm going to go out on a limb here and make a prediction: The next time American soldiers are sent into a hostile place overseas, it's gonna suck and soldiers will die.

We all volunteered for this job and, though not explicitly stated, the possibility of suck was definitely an implied clause.

Remember, we deploy because the government says to and the government says to because it thinks there's a good reason to. If you think the government's reason is invalid and troops should be brought back, then push that argument. Don't insult everyone's intelligence by trying to make us believe that the Iraq deployment created the suck and death itself.

p.s. and OT, Lost my cousin on Christmas morning.

Maybe, but maybe someday you'll get a clue how the military works. Its not a free paycheck to play dress up and march around. It to do as your told, like it or not. While I'm sorry some guys marriage fell apart thast part of being married in the military, ever hear of a westpac widow? Women just dont seem to get that the guy might not be around.

Personal experience, the whiners just made it harder for the good people to do thier jobs.

they follow in the footsteps of their hero's... like cheney, bush, limbaugh..... :)

Are you saying anyone who doesn't serve shouldn't be allowed to vote?

The military is a public good and the US is a democracy. Every tax-paying citizen has a right to voice their opinion on how they should be used
