I already have that right...

The right to be ignorant? Hrmmm... I think this right should be revoked.

Explain how I am ignorant?

Hate the issue / love the country - it's a very simple concept

They try to make it seem like they're defending America, but they don't have any more right to speak for America than the other person. Each person is just one citizen, so the person saying "we suck because..." is just as much the voice of America as the person saying "we're great because...".

When you understand that, you see that someone saying "you don't like America, then leave" makes as much sense as someone saying "I don't like the way America is, if you do like the way it is, then leave".

Well put.

If you are one of the people that continually tells people to leave because they disagree with you, then you are ignorant. I have explained it plenty of times on this board and none of the ignorant, whiney, selfish, sheep-like (as opposed to the Scottish sheep-loving) children on this board bother to listen.

If I misread your post, I apologize.

It is. But if you actually believe that this country sucks because of blah blah blah - why not leave and go somewhere where you don't have that problem? If this country sucks then either you feel there is a better one or you are a bitter and sad human being.

If you feel that abortion sucks, war sucks, your local mayor sucks, burning leaves in the fall sucks, then by all means go and protest or exercise whatever other civic rights you have in order to affect change. If you think that America sucks because people burn leaves or because people smoke in bars, then your problem is solved by going elsewhere.

Once more for the people in the back. This country does not suck. Yes, It has plenty of things that we don't like about it and those things differ for each of us. Furthermore, we have the right to say and do things to fix what we see as wrong.

But if the premise of your argument is that Americas sucks because... then go where it doesn't suck.

But in my experience, - America does suck. But it is a good thing.

If coutry is (also) its people, - than, for me, - until my recent engagement, - America did suck big time. I mean, - all those American girls ... and quite a few of them were really good a the said sucking, too. So, if the country truly does suck, it is all the more reason to stay!

I am not sure why my posts have brought your simple minded attacks. Once again read what I have said. People who say this country sucks because of XXX issue ARE idiots. This country doesn't suck despite its many flaws. And furthermore, if it does suck, you have the right to either try and change what you don't like, live with it as is or leave.

I am not telling anyone to leave because their view differs from mine. In fact, I am happy to discuss issues with people and either convince them they are wrong or change my opinion. Nevertheless, if you say the country sucks as a blanket statement, you can (in my opinion) go elsewhere to find your idyllic world. You won't find it.

America - Love it or leave it? YESIf you don't love where you live, you are living in the wrong place.

A further point of clarification.

It's not America - love everything about it and what its government is doing or leave it - It is America - love living here enjoying your freedoms and opportunites to succeed or go elsewhere. Not because you aren't wanted (true or not), but because why the hell would you stay somewhere you didn't have to if you didn't like it?

Polls state, that most of Americans hate their jobs. Yet they are not quitting in droves, are they now, sugar?

Also, statistics state, that most of Americans are fat a@@es, and they hate themselves for it (being monstrously fat), yet they do nothing about it, but continue stuffing their faces.

Now, why would not those smart Americans quit their jobs and take care of their health, if they don't like the jobs and don't like being fat? The mistery remains ...

Not specifically related to the war, but I have overheard immigrants saying they hate America. I think the thread title applies to those.

It is sheer idiocy to call a person an "idiot" because of a single statement that this person makes. Now, one has the full right to call a statement "idiotic", but to call a person an idiot, one has to really know the person.

I guess they are exercising their freedom to be lazy fat asses, but if they really wanted to improve their lives they would do something about it, right?

A countrys greatnes is based on the ability of it's people to thing as individuals and come togeather as a nation. Not to cry "get out " when some one points out something that is not right.
And yes ,I am from anouther country- Australia- living in USA.

Maybe there are people who want to change the way it is here, rather than leave like rats off a ship. When something you care about breaks, do you try to fix it or just toss it aside?

"My country, right or wrong." This is a very popular slogan.

But many forget the rest of it:
"If right, to be kept right, if wrong, to be put right." - Carl Schurz

You need to stop trying to incite anger and/or flames.

I think people are having trouble reading in here. I think what Mwilding was talking about was not people complaining about one particular thing, but about this country as a whole. Of course everyone has a right do disagree and to not like something that is gong on. But if you didn't like anything about this country at all, why would you want to be here? There is a difference.

I first came to this forum yesterday and saw that impreza guy harassing someone else. You call someone like that a troll.
