? about the Vcore limit

I am OCing my 2.4C. I've been reading guides from different sources and got different opinions about the Vcore setting. The default Vcore setting on my MB is 1.525V. My question is how far can I push the Vcore and still within the safe operating zone? I currently set it at 1.650V, but my machine occasionally reboots itself.

First off....

Rebooting itself...

1) This coudl be a result of heat check the temps...

2) This could be a result of a flaky power supply not cutting it...

3) This could be a result of you running winxp and not shutting off automatic restarts with error in the control panel..By default it is set to this so if you didn't turn it off then it is on...

I would say actual vcore is the real concern...You need to see what setting a certain vcore in the bios results in vcore being reported...I like to use speedfan, harware monitor that came with my abit mobo, and cpu_z_116....

I would not go above 1.65v actual but in most cases anything above 1.6v actual usually prime95 stable wont results in more then 2-3 more fsb and that just isn't worth the benefit of the added few mhz....
