i'm actually starting to get a lil sick of it after realizing that it's eminating through 4 120mm sunons (quiet ones) an 80 and a 92... eesh... gonna try the 80mm fan mod soon...

Could you do me a big favor if you can? Could you plug that baby @ 5V and see if it will spin?

Delta's website says its range is 7V-12V but if it will work @ 5V, I can replace my Sunon cpu fan that I rigged w/ a 5V/12V switch. I'm thinking of using a rheostat for it but not right now. I'll be too busy mutilating my new Enlight 7237 for a while. Thanks.

I was afraid the minimum 7v required is a must or the fan don't spin at all, albeit lower speed.

My Sunon spins 1900-2000 rpm @ 5v and it's mostly the hd noise I hear. Good enough for surfing @ 26C/26C, 19.6C room temp.

I'm not using the mb 12v line at all, just the speed sensor and ground cpu fan to mb header. Sensor don't work unless fan is grounded to mb. Fan alarm still works this way. 5/12v supplied my 4pin ps molex via switch.

Will I still burn my mb header this way? This is my last one. Done burn two already due to careless wiring.

Will an Antec fan that's fitted with the SX1030 burn out a 3 pin header if an adapter is used?
I like a quiet standby mode.
