my company asked me to set up a connection from employee's home to office, that allow employee who is at home to control the pc in the office by enter some passwords.
what kind of remote control software to your recommand? We are looking for a good one which has high security, not just lower price.
Also, we need a hardware firewall to protect the remote control, which brand is good?

You might want to look into RemotelyAnywhere for the remote control aspect. A better solution, in my opinion, would be the built-in Remote Desktop service in XP Pro, but that obviously depends on the OS. As far as security, if you go with something like RemotelyAnywhere, it's all encrypted, so it's pretty secure right off the bat. The downside is that RA is meant more for system administration than remote access, so it will show the user a lot of options/tools that they probbly shouldn't be messing with. (Should be able to find RemotelyAnywhere with a quick google search.)

As I have been touting for my last few posts, I just tried out, and now use, Astaro for my network security and firewall/router. A combination of Remote Desktop and something such as Astaro that can handle VPN connections would be my preference. It's pitifully easy to set up, and even easier for the end-user to work with.
