I just made a backup of my C: partition. If I need to ghost my C: partition, can I do so without touching my D: partition?

Also, can someone explain step by step how to actually go about ghosting the image back onto my C: partition.

Thanks a lot,
Bruce

It's different for different versions, but yes you can image or clone a single partition instead of an entire drive.

To Ghost back, the process is different depending on whether you cloned the drive or created an image file.

You must choose "From image" from the menu if it is stored on CD-R(s) or as a file/files on a second drive.

You must clone from the cloned copy back to the original if you made a clone in the first place (Don't mix up the two).

Reminds me of my first post (Also Ghost related) :D

Yep, it'll say "From Image" at the bottom of one of the menus.

Good luck!

You can also use From partition to partion to backup your C: drive to a file on your D: drive.
