Can anyone remember if there was any kind of fine print about hidden charges other than the $50.00 in MP3's? Nothing has happened or anything, but I thought I should ask before I got a mysterious charge on my credit card.

Nope. You're not obligated to do anything after you buy your MP3s.

no hidden charges or anything. Straightforward. I got in on the raveMP promotion and this Nomad II promotion..no extra charges of any sort.

Might want to make sure you post in an already-started topic or in the appropriate forum next time though..cause this is probably going to get locked up :(

Oh, I knew that I'd be locked but just as long as I find out what I needed to know before I do, it's fine.

You should have gotten an email telling you that they were on backorder and to expect it sometime in a couple of weeks (first several weeks of july was the exact quote)

Oh no, I already got my Nomad 2...and I LOVE IT! It's going to be right in my pocket as my constant travel companion.

there shouldn't have been any charges at all on your credit card after you ordered the $50 in mp3's.

Did anyone else have problems getting the remote to work. No matter what button I press the remote doesn't affect the player. The lock is turned off.

Rico.

Ricoja, I don't have that problem (w/ no locks on). Maybe a faulty remote? That is my only gripe (a very, very small one): That remote is chintzy feeling. Feels like it will just fall to pieces if you press the buttons too hard.
BTW, I love the player. Easy to install, easy to use software, great sound quality (although a little underpowered). I'm impressed by it and am feeling very lucky to have gotten it at such a sweet price. Plus, I was able to fit 9 medium sized songs on the 32 card, and I don't think I'm going to shuck out for a 64. Hell, just get a burner for making cds for your long trips (I think a cdrw is a really good deal when you compare it to the price of a 64 smartcard). Sure, it's twice as much but think about all you can do with it. Of course, I'm assuming you all have portable CD players, which is probably an unfair assumption.
