An instructor taped the show and brought it to class. What do you guys think about it?

I think it's a lame attempt by the media to create a new trend. Right after we saw the tape in class, bunch of people come up bashing Windows 2000 Professional. Oh! Windows 2000 is very easy to break into. What are you? A master hacker?

The next thing you know is some joe telling you about how insecure the Windows OS is.

Windows might have security holes here and there, but bashing Microsoft for it??

What should we do next?? Start installing linux on every new systems? Hell, I can bet that the first CS major I meet today doesn't know how to install linux. Not to mention setting up its security.

I've never seen the show, what's its premise? When's it on, what channel? But anyway, like everyone has said, I don't see how you can blame an OS, or the OS designers for really insecurities, I mean, I'm running 98se on a small comp in my room, it has no connection to the outside world and I'll tell you what, it's pretty darned secure.
