I am tired of the slow modems and want to upgrade to DSL and have a few questions about it. Any help will be greatly
appreciated.
First of all what kind of hardware support should i need? I just went and bought one of those linksys ethernet card (10/100, OM
deal going on for last few days) which says its compatable with cable/DSL. Is that enough?
Second our local telephone company doesn't provide DSL. So can I still take it from any other DSL provider in our area like I
choose internet access internet service provider through modem?
Third if so how can I contact the service provider (I am from south western virginia)? i.e. basically who are the good DSL sevice
provider and any contact no will be of great help.
Last what are the different standard for DSL like SDSL, ADSL etc. Thank you in advance
