I read an article in CPUPress :
"AMD Camaro CPU Specs
CPUPress would like to announce some hot (confirmed) news just off the press. You saw it here first, the new AMD Camaro CPU specifications! This CPU was first known as the Camaro, now it is known as the Palomino. Without further ado ;
0.13micron process
Mustang Core
512Kbyte - 1MB L2 Ondie Full Speed cache
166Mhz FSB EV6 DDR (333MHz)
3Dnow! Technology
3Dnow+ Technology (including SSE Support)
Socket A Form Factor
Between 1.3v and 1.6v CPU core volts
Currently this is all the information we can obtain, the AMD Camaro is rumored to be called the AMD Athlon 2, this is unconfirmed. That's about it, when we get furtuer information regarding the Camario we would be sure to let you know."
As you can see there will be a socket A for the new Athlon. Does anyone know or assume if the existing mainboards (mine : MSI K7T Pro) will be able to be used by Athlon 2? That thing about DDR troubles me.
