<< Yes, of course it is, because 99.99% of all Humans are irrational. >>

I'm so lucky to have met the .01%.

<< There's no logical reason to have seperate ethics for Human life and 'other' life. >>

Are you a vegetarian? If not, are you a cannibal?

Sadly, we're saddled with human and civil rights. If only we could return to the days of the laws of nature... survival of the fittest!

How certain are you of that?

I'm a vegetarian.

This has nothing to do with cannibalism, though. Cannibalism is when an individual eats another individual from the same species.
This is about fair treatment.

At the end of this century, few or no people will eat meat, since it won't be necessary.

What's your point? Keep your sarcasm for yourself.

<< What's MY point? Hah! You're the lame ass spouting about being irrational! Tie that to abortion for once! >>

What's your point?

There's no logical reason to have seperate ethics for Human life and 'other' life.

Sadly, we're saddled with human and civil rights... instad of being logical! DUH! 😕

You're making no sense at all.

This is not about civil rights, this is about fair and just treatment.

Why do we make a difference between Humans and other animals when we're talking about abortion?!
Why do we make a difference between Humans and other animals when we're talking about euthanasia?!

Do most Humans have a superiority complex? Yup.
Could most Humans care less about their environment? Yup.

Life is life is life. There's no superior form of life, and even if there was one, there would be no reason to make this the 'elite' organism, with more rights.

<< This is not about civil rights, this is about fair and just treatment. >>

Why does fair and just treatment matter?

Fair and just treatment is a synonym for justice.

"This is not about civil rights, this is about fair and just treatment."

Yes! All life, including plants, insects and even single-celled organisms should have fair and just treatment... equal to humans!

Damn, you're a dim mind...

Do you even know what 'fair and just treatment' means? Justice? Still doesn't ring a bell? Poor soul...

<< Now you may procede to tie this justice to abortion... for better understanding of course! >>

Since this topic is nothing but flame bait i'll just say this: Abortion is my one and only form of birth control and I use it as often as I possibly can. If there are condoms handy or the morning after pill, I immediately refuse their use and call the doctor before the little critter is even concieved. Can't risk the little bastard escaping the womb, gotta have all our bases covered.

This is not how I feel, obviously, but I do believe that it is a right of a woman to have an abortion, unless she is using it as her only form of contraception.

There should be a limit of approximately three abortions in the lifetime of a woman, unless of course under certain circumstances such as rape or possible complications that could cause the mother death.

You anti-abortion people need to mind your own buisness and get lives, because you seem to want to interfere with others rights when you can't even keep your own houses in order.

Get over it, if abortion was made illigal there would be backroom abortions going on, and other unmentionable acts of infanticide and tidbits i'd just assume not mention. How is it you feel you have the right to control what someone does with their body?

When the fetus hits the air it is a life, until then it is legally a lump of blood and flesh and not considered alive. So instead of pursueing something you will not win why not expend your energies on something worthwhile, like stopping unwanted pregnancy by getting to the route of the problem, which eventually can be traced back to the bad parenting of the baby boomers and the eventuall breakdown of the morals of society.

I could go on forever but that would be senseless, because either you agree with me or oppose me and will not be swayed one way or the other. So in the grand scheme of things, who the frig cares anyway?

The heck there should be. Three strikes and you're out, huh? Gotta stop killing those blobs of blood and tissue? Aren't you controlling her right to her body with even that legislation?

<< unmentionable acts of infanticide >>

I fail to grasp the fundamental difference between infanticide and abortion. We might as well provide a way to kill unwanted babies through lethal injection or something since there's all this "backroom" infanticide going on. I've got no problem with what a person does with their own body. That's a personal choice. This isn't what we're dealing with here.

What exactly is it about the air that causes the fetus to "live"? Would we have better morals if, rather than bad parenting, we decided to kill all babies who would otherwise receive bad parenting?

<< Who the frig cares anyway? >>

I do. I'm grateful my mom didn't kill me, and I want others to be allowed to say the same thing.

Why should I want to edit it out? Are you truly that dense?

A Siamese twin, sharing one heart. One must be aborted, or both will die. What is your choice?

An embryo developing outside the womb in the Fallopian tube. Without an abortion, the mother risks death. What is your choice?

You're a very black/white kind of person.

Answering a simple question is not one of Elledan's strong suits. Why? Because he digs a hole and can't get out of it. There is no answer to save him, so he acts like an ass to steer away from the subject. Of course, he could prove me wrong by actually answering a question straight up. Hah! Like that'll happen! 😀

You, sir, are an ass.

H.R. 503, "The Unborn Victims of Violence Act"
  • The ACLU fully supports efforts to punish acts of violence against women that harm or terminate a wanted pregnancy. This bill is an inappropriate method of imposing such punishment, however, because it dangerously seeks to separate the woman from her fetus in the eyes of the law. It would dramatically alter the existing legal framework, elevate the fetus to an unprecedented status in federal law, and undermine the foundations of the right to choose abortion.
"...elevate the fetus to an unprecedented status in federal law..." Yeah, the status of human. Gosh, there's a stretch!
