Abit VP6 HELP!!

Hi,
Just got it yesterday to replace my old bx motherboard. Well, just found something really wierd! I am running a CeleronII 566 (can be overclocked to 950+ by using BX motherboard). In softmanuIII, the vcore is only available up to 1.7v!! Is this normal?? With 1.7v, I only can run stalbe at 108x8.5... I can run at least 112x8.5 by using BX motherboard! I read several review about vp6 but all using PIII to test. They all showed the voltage can be up to 1.85v. Anyone use celeronII+Abit VP6? Please verify and help!!

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply! So,does that mean the motherboard can automatically detect what CPU you have and set a limitation to vcore? Like the CeleronII max at 1.70v?

well, according the spec, yes, it just mentions PIII FC-PGA. But, it runs fine (celeron II 566)now at 108x8.5 with 1.7v. Well, just can't get higher vcore to push the CPU like using BX motherboard.
