What's so great about this board? How about dual FCPGA 1GHz Coppermines with suport for 133 MHz FSB, 4X AGP, Ultra DMA 66/100, & RAID 0/1? :)

Here's [H]ardOCP's preview of it. Tight board...personally, I have my fingers crossed that someone can successfully import the VP6's BIOS P3 microcode into the BP6's BIOS so I can run dually cC0 coppermines on my BP6. There are rumors that someone has gotten it to work! :)

EDIT: I almost forgot about the MSI...another great board. I love SMP!!!

the memory issues on teh MSI suck ive seen better bandwith on a TX based board. I use a add on promise card as it is so im not worried about my drives. I'm going to probabbly stick a gig aof ram in it and a couple ata 100 drives and make it a web hosting server or just play games on it. Tribes 2 is out this month

actually, if you're using hub architecture type layout (where the southbridge is not on the pci bus) its faster to use the southbridge's ide slots than any pci chip/card.

What about Tyan S1832DL , Tyan S1834DI or Supermicro P6DBE for Pentium 2-3 ?

And this I found as below....

Over at Axion Technologies, They have a Q-Lity Dual BX Slot-1 Mother board. Supports up to PIII-600 Katamai. The board has 1 AGP, 6PCI and 1ISA slot, along with On-Board U2W SCSI. Price :$119.99 + shipping. Quantity is limited and I just purchased one.

Abit makes GREAT boards. I had some problems with my BH6 but they replaced it for free (back in the day when it was FREE) After that I have owned several boards and have found them to work great. The Highpoint controller is fine, it does RAID. But for $200...... I'll pass for now.

High point controllers suck. Took then 6 months after Windows 2000s release to drivers that fixed all the bugs with scsi controllers.

The S1832DL is a rock solid board but Tyan provides no overclocking options and in fact discourage overclocking.

AxionTech and Paragon both have the VP6 for $185 or so shipped.

My understanding is that the really bad High Point controller is the HPT366, and the HPT370, although not perfect, is substantially better.

Not true...You can overclock the 1832 board, Tyan just doesn't
offer a LOT of overclocking options. Basically, you can run the
FSB at 112Mhz or 133Mhz. I run a dual 1832 (actually 1833, which
is the OEM version which omits one PCI slot but is otherwise
functionally identical) and I have NO problems overclocking to
112Mhz. There are issues at 133Mhz, even if your chips and memory
can take it, because of the lack of accomodation in the PCI
divider on this board (133Mhz will wreck havoc with things like
SCSI cards and the like as a result). But 112 works fine and is
rock stable.

There's a problem with the board and NVIDIA chipset video cards - Why I don't really know - But who else knows what's wrong with this board - The MSI 6321 Pro-AR is not too bad

Kwad Guy please check your actual cpu speed via a program like wcpuid. My Tyan board used to say the chip was operating at XXX speed when in fact the chip wasn't I had to force it on the slocket.
