System : PIII 500(100)
128 ram w 98se and shutdown patch installed.
I did a clean install and patch - when I shut down -it just goes to a black screen with a blinking cursor- the only way to shut down is to disconnect power supply plug. When you restart - softmenue goes to the wrong CPU speed and must be reset - this all started when I upgraded from a celery 400 slot 1 to the PIII fcpga with an adapter card- I am getting ready to switch back to my old AX6BC if I can't find a solution - any thoughts appreciated -

I have that problem also, but I think I solve it by using a ISA nic card instead... something with BIOS maybe...

Suprise suprise - It wasn't the mboard- it was the slot 1 to fcpga
adapter. When I put the old celly back in- no probs must have done something to the adapter card(IWILL) - when I switched it out with a generic - the pIII worked like a champ
