abit siluro ti4200, i want to overclock

hey i just got this card and i noticed how easy it would be to overclock with graphic max. should i use graphic max? what would i need to buy to get this thing running as good as a ti 4400 or even ti4600? you guys like this card? what ram cooler should i get? what gpu cooler should i get?

I don't know anything of the card...but I was kinda thinking that maybe you should have asked these questiong before you spent the money on it.....
 
I would recommend the following:

-Search for reviews online to findout how high the card might go natively.
-Make sure you have good case cooling and latest video drivers.
-Use coolbits or powerstrip to start overclocking (I used coolbits..I thinks that's what it's called). Start off small and work your way up...5 at a time.
-Once you get to a point you can't get the GPU or RAM higher you then can determine if you want to invest in extras.
-Other things to try at this point: Advanced AGP slot fan (side window fan, coolmaxx cooling, etc.), AS3 for the GPU fan, RAM Sinks (you will not see a huge increase)
-Extremes: Water cooling, Voltage, Bios Changes

alright i found this review and the overclocking looked awsome but i wanted to know if its safe to do it to 300/600 stock? is this dangeous? will it be work as good as some ti4600 cards? i wanna do it but im worried.
 
First of all you do know OC'ing your video card will void warranty. Second 99% nothing serious will happen to your hardware. Just reboot and reset the setting to correct the problem.

You should be able to reach this with stock as long as you have good case cooling. No, you will not be as fast as the 4600 because the stock settings are 300/650.

How would they know it was OC'ed?

I believe someone asked this question and it was posted by several Anandtech users that certain mainufactures if not all have a eprom/bios switch/some type of chip/mem modual (don't recall) that records if the GPU or Memory goes above the cards supported speed. Some cards come enhanced, faster then the ti4200 specs, so it depends on the manufacture of the card.
 
man abit really doesnt want to warrant anything geez. i will overclock in 30 days from the day i got it.
 
I got a bad OEM ti4600 VIVO, and I tried it on all the chipsets and every motherboard I could get my hands on. I overclocked the thing to 350/750 (the non-VIVO version goes a lot higher apparently, since it was at 400/800). I RMA'd it to leadtek and got a brand new retail one (did not even buy retail, and I kept all the stuff that game with the OEM).
This one does not overclock as much as the first one (340/730), but I am still happy.
