Abit NF7-S vs AN7

I am looking at picking up one of these for my 2400+. The only difference I can see is that the AN7 has uGuru but from what I have read, the NF7-S is more mature. Which to go with?

I'll qoute myself. (quicker than typing)

Based on my experience with my NF7-S Rev 2.0.

I was trying to decide this 2 weeks ago and I went with the NF7-S. On paper the AN7 seems more advanced but on every forum it had a scarred name due to Abit rushing it's production and fudging a few features up which left it unenjoyable for geeks like us. The deal is pretty much that if you need the features on an AN7, wait till the 2nd revision. If you need a rock stable mobo thats awesome and cheap and blows out all the Nforce2 competitors, get a NF7-S.

What about the NF7-M? Whats the deal on that board? Is it worth the extra $1 over the NF7-S in terms of features and capabilities?

The NF7-M has integrated GeForce 4 MX video, but has significant BIOS problems and horrible OC capabilities.. Especially when using the built-in video.

NF7-S 2.0 w/ a video-card is a MUCH BETTER choice.

NF7 uses SPP+MCP, NF7-S uses SPP+MCP-T
No SATA or Firewire on the NF7

I think those are the only things between them. And that's just specs, I'm still going to say that the NF7-S overclocks better than the NF7.

I'd say stay away from the AN7. From everything I've read (though haven't experienced yet) it does not overclock nearly as well as having some odd temperature problems that I AM experiencing. Its also not supported by motherboard monitor 🙁
