abit nf7-s v2.0 or nf7 v2.0

What does the nf7s have that the nf7 2.0 doesnt? Im looking to overclock a mobile 2500 xp. And am looking to save some money, but do both generally overclock the same. Everyone seems to rave about the nf7-s 2.0. Also what does the s have that the vanilla doesnt? thanks!

what is soundstorm? because I dont need firewire, and am not going to buy a sata hardrive anytime in the near future. Would I be alrite overclocking on the nf7 v2?

I purchased the NF7 instead of the -S version myself. I am happy with my decision. The only thing I miss that the -S has is soundstorm. soundstorm is a higher-quality integrated audio with hardware support for EAX. The plain NF7 only has regular AC97 sound, and I get alot of static when running anything that uses EAX is using alot of voices. I put in a decent-quality sound-card, and everything has been A-OK since.

I've also done a wee bit of OC'ing on it, while it was only about a 100mhz OC, I can guarantee that all the OC'ing options are there in the bios, and work as expected.

Is the Bios the same on both the NF7 and NF7-S? I have the NF7 v2.0 and was thinking about swapping it out with the NF7-S2 that I'm currently running with a locked 2500 Barton, so I could tweak it more. Is there any advantage to swapping the v2.0 for the S2 if you have a locked CPU?

I don't understand your answer.
I aware of the minor differences between the NF7-S2 and the NF7 mb's because I have used them both. I'm also aware that the S2 doesn't have the oc'ing potential because there's no multiplier setting but it does have nice heatsinks on both the north and south bridges and I like the IDE side connectors. I also believe the NF7 also has the Spread Spectrum for the FSB & AGP and the Enhance PCI Performance which are normally disabled for oc'ing. So if all things like the physical components, PCB, capacitors etc. are the same and the only difference is the SATA, SoundStorm and Firewire features on the S2 version and the multiplier adjustment on the NF7, than I agree that I shouldn't swap.
