I'm thinking of getting two of these for 2 amd 64 3200+ i'm building. My only problem is that these don't come with firewire, but i'm thinking that by the time i decide to use something firewire the add-in cards will be really cheap. So is this good board, or should i go for chaintech or asus or something else?

PS. Looking to spend around $100, not more then $120. And don't need OC.

Well, after a month or two of dithering, I'm going for the KV8 Pro 3rd Eye Socket 754. It was that or wait for the upcoming DFI Lanparty thing which looks like a real winner - but frankly, I can't see it getting to the UK until mid Sept. The US will get it early Sept. ZipZoomFly are taking preorders, apparently.

With the working PCI lock now and with uGuru, I'm sold on the Abit board. Ordered it today, in fact. Doom 3 and HL 2 here we come.....

What's kv8 pro 3rd eye? I haven't heard of it. Is it a new edition of just the regular abit kv8 pro that's out now? I looked on zipzoom but didn't see any description for it or where to preorder it. Can you link me?

So basically it's the same only with firewire and 1ghz bus instead of 800 as in regular kv8 pro. How come according to abit, the k8t8000 pro chipsets support 1ghz fsb, but on newegg the specs for the kv8pro board say fsb is upto 800mhz. And any ideas when this will be out and for how much?

I can't seem to find the Third Eye for sale anywhere online. Anyone have a source? Newegg, Mwave and Zipzoomfly onlt have the non Third Eye version. Anyone?
