Abit kt7a - Unreal tournament - usb modem

Are there anybody with this configuration having disconnection - freezes problems while playing in internet. If so, what are your slots allocation, os, drivers, etc...

All I can say is yes I am having problems with my USB modem and the KT7A. It seems fine when I am downloading but when I upload anything of any size (especially playing online games)my system first disconects from the internet, then freezes completely. I am sory I cant help with a solution as it is a knew problem but please post here if you find a cure.

What cards do you have plugged int slots 4 and 6? If you can try putting the cards in other slots or different cards in slots 4 and/or 6. If you're running 98, do you have the microsoft usb patch?

I have a pixel tv card at slot 4 (enabled) and anic card at 6 (disabled), but I think this is not my problem cause I'm using my modem attached to a pci usb port in slot 5.

have you got the latest via usb patch, also, you checked to see if you have ANY irq conflicts?

Is this the raid version of the kt7a, and if so are you using the raid contoller(which shares resources with slot 5)?

Pederv, I have the hpt370 controller enabled in my kt7a raid, but I'm not sure what will happen if I just disable it , will I loose the ata100 transfer rate?
