Abit Kt7-Raid sound help?

Abit Kt7-Raid sound help? I've tried everything possible to get MX300 to work, latest drivers, abit's faq on setting IRQ, anyone else seen this and have you come up with a work around?

My system: Abit KT7-raid with OC'ed 600 Duron to 850, 256meg ram, ATI Rage128 32meg AGP, Viper550 16meg PCI, Netgear NIC, etc... WinMe retail...

There is a known problem with the Aureal cards (Vortex2) and the KX/KT133 chipsets. It is to do with PCI bus timings and causes a complete lockup - there is more information at the address below under the Sound Cards section - at the moment, there is no fix available.

I'm currently running with a KX133 board (K7V) and a MX300 sound card without any lock-ups or faults.
Are you running the latest Aureal reference drivers? They are a MUST!! Do not use the Diamond drivers because they will cause problems.
Do you have SB16 Emulation disabled? This is also recommended.
