i have been having some problems getting my KT Raid to become stable....windows 98se loads and i am able to load drivers but windows starts freezing (without even mouse activity. it seems that it happens more when i'm installing and uninstalling programs.....anyone have any ideas??? thanx.....see system specs below.....

I think it is some hardware driver issue. I would take all the cards out except for the video card. When u restart, make sure you ENABLE the ESCD update in the BIOS section. Most likely you will be able to boot into Windows w/o a problem. Then, add in each card. The hardware that causes the problem will show up once it freezes your system again.

Try the latest drivers, change slots for the card, or disable ACPI may be the solutions. Try this site out, as it helped me solve my Voodoo2 driver problem.

thanx for the advice but i seem to have isolated the problem last night after some more testing...it seems that in windows when it freezes that when i go to reset it the bios does not detect the hard drive upon posting. i'm guess that this has got to be a hard drive problem or possibly something defective in the bios or a faulty bios settig. any other advice may be helpful...thanx
