<< StormBlade: What are you doing to justify using SCSI? If its games / word processing, I would think to save your money.... (Ok ok, PcResources, we've settled this! Your a SCSI man, I'm an IDE man.. ) >>
Well, i'm not really a SCSI man, i have no problems with IDE except when it comes to IDE RAID. And for RAID 0, well, i don't care if it is SCSI, it is NOT worth the risk. If you want maximum performance, there is no alternative to SCSI though.
<< Here's a question and I think it was answered for the IDE solution but with this SCSI RAID I'm getting is it possible to turn off the RAID support so that I can run with one HD until I get say two more and then turn on RAID-5 support? >>
Yes, no problemo.
<< Ok I'm back now....Anyone know when that DDR RAM is gonna be widely available and about how long after that we have to wait for good Motherboards? >>
It's hard to say, we really do not know that much about the stability of the 760 chipset yet, i would wait at least a few months, check the forums and see what kind of problems anyone has or doesn't have with it. DDR SDRAM will be widely available well within that time.
