<<Thanks for qouting polls.>>
You're definitely welcome, just to give you an idea of what people thinks.
<<So, lemme get this right. The people at Anandtech, Tomshardware, and a myriad of other sites are idoits? They seem to think the Abit is a very good board. No wait a minute before you get all pissy, yes, in the *past* Abit hasnt been anything to send to mom.>>
Before you get all pissy, let me tell you that Tomshardware is an Asus kiss up, and this very forum we're debating on is hosted by servers powered by MicroStar motherboards. Why does Anand choose MicroStar? Why does Dr.Pabst choose Asus? And why do techs stay away from Abit? You can figure it out.
<<But lets do some case studies. What do you think of Dodge (Yes the auto maker...) 15 or 20 years ago, they were crap. end of story. But, they got serious and turned their image around.>>
Guess what? Im a huge Chrysler fan, out of the big three(GM, Ford Chrysler), Chrysler is my favorite. Dodge cars are excellent, but again, I still favor the Japanese cars because of various reasons such as price, style, and quality.
<<Give Abit a chance. Maybe there trying to turn themselves around to. By just simply saying "Well Abit has a history of..." Ya, great woo hoo. Everything/body at one point or another has been less then appealing.>>
Oh yea? Abit's quality control has always been a joke, Im sorry but thats the truth, still hasnt changed one iota today.
<<The point is to bounce back. And Abit is doing a great job with the KT7-RAID. And I will laugh in ANYBODIES face who says differently. Not because they maybe dont know what their doing, but because there so damned closed minded that they will soon not know what there doing. Keep up with the times, and in this industry those times change *very* fast.>>
Why do you think people aren't giving Maxtor hard drives a second chance? Even though they've improved quite a bit. Do you think Asus and MSI will just sit around and goof off while Abit is improving? Fat chance, Asus and MSI are improving as much as Abit as we speak, like I said, as good as Abit becomes, Asus/MSI will become better, no way will Abit ever catch up. And whats the point of wasting your hard earned money on an "improving" company rather than be absolutely sure and bet your money on a company that has already have the reputation for reliability?
