Got an KT7-RAID recently and after a clean install of Win2k i noticed that 5 devices were all sharing IRQ11.. this normal? Also experienced a few strange crashes soon after installation, explorer, mirc...

My other systems solid as a rock in win2k, seemed a little strange to see crashes so soon..

The KT7-System is:

Tbird 800MHz
128mb PC-133 CAS 2 Memory
IBM 20gb UDMA 1000 HD
Voodoo3 3000
SB PCI 128
Intel PR0 100+ NIC

Any help would be much appreciated

If you don't want everything on IRQ 11, then turn off ACPI in the bios.

Andeh,

Try moving some boards around. Do it one at a time - start with your video card (obviously) and set them up in the OS as you go along. Here is what I have -

Slot 1 - NIC card ( slot1 usually shares the IRQ with the AGP but I have no AGP video card )
Slot 2 - Voodoo 3 Video card
Slot 5 - Creative Live

This works out pretty well but I will have to change it as soon as I get an AGP. It will then look like this -

AGP - Video Card
Slot 1 - Empty
Slot 2 - Sound Card
Slot 5 - NIC

Give one of these a try.
