I think the title says it all. I've read the FAQs which acknowledge stability issues and offer some possible resolutions but nothing seems to work.

Tried Detonator 5.22, 6.31, used the new VIA 4in1 drivers, and tried many BIOS settings as suggested on other sites such as the following FAQ: http://go.to/kt7faq

After 2 days of fiddling, I'm still not 100%. Games such as Crimson Skies crash and hang the system several minutes into play. Anyone have more luck with this combination of motherboard/video card?

If so, what was done to achieve stability?

Have you tried newer games such as Crimson Skys? I'm stable in older games, as well as 3dMark2000 but the high end newer games are killing me. Unreal Tournement is okay... with a lock every so often. (hour or so) Which Via/NVidia drivers are you using?

try uping you I/O volatge to 3.5

I was initially having some stability problems in 3dmark200 and quake3. 100% stable now.

The geforce2 family cards like the 3.5 I/O voltage.

I had always assumes that it didn't pretain to me since i was running an MX(lower power consumption and all), but low and behold it fixed it.

Yeah, tried the voltage trick as well. Still no go. Same stability either way. So far the games that are a sure thing to lock are Crimson Skies and Metal Fatigue. Many others are okay, and I can run benchmarks for quite a while. Took everything else out of the system and ran with Sound and Video only. Still no good. Crimson Skies is a pretty instense game with lots of action and I love it... Geez, this sucks.

Video card is the Inno3d Geforce2MX.

My luck CS would probably work. :) Makes me wonder if there is something strange with Crimson Skies alone or something sorta like the TNT cards used to have problems with Midtown Madness if anyone remembers that issue. On the other hand Unreal Tournement does lock after 1/2 hour to an hour... so I know it's not totally clean in other games either.

6.31 was crashing, Really? I thought 6.31 was supposed to be AMD/Duron safe... Okay, I'll go and try 6.34 and 6.35 and see what happens. On top of that I just downloaded DirectX-8 and we'll see what that does.

6.31 doesnt crash because of the hardware, it crashes because of winME.........it has a prob with nvidia cards and 6.31 drivers........blue screen of death comes up (windows protection error) when you try to shutdown after a lot of 3d use........

I had some issues with this vid card and KT7 (raid) too-
got the 6.34 drivers (i thinkn they have spec. fix for metal fatigue too) and have directx 7.0 seems to be workin smoothly. managed to o/c the card to 205,195, with minimal artifacts
