Abit KR7A - Raid in stock at NewEgg!!!

While it's nice to know that newegg has the KR7A-R in stock, this is far from being a hot deal or even any kind of deal...It's more of a promotion for newegg, IMO.

Also, people please post links when you post a deal. Don't make the rest of us go to newegg and search for the board. 😉

Nice mobo BTW. I want it!!!

Now $182 shipped, I think. How ripe is this board anyway? I like to wait it off for things to settle down and see some reviews on the production boards before I buy one, but it's very exciting, as I'm sure you all know.

Well don't forget that AMD's nect CPU will be out in late Q1 or early Q2, so if this board does not support it, PLEASE don't come back whining about how abit sucks, or its not fair, etc... I paid about $150 for my KT7-Raid, I now have it and my Unlocked Duron for sale at $129, yea its a lot less than I paid but thats what I get for getting the board shortly after it came out. But it runs everything I wanted it to, so no whining for me.
Also if you want to have the newwest fastest thing out, then get this, but be ready for bugs, and pray for the the all mighty BIOS update to fix problem XXX.
Also don't forget Shuttle just came out with their KT266a Raid board that also has 4 DDR slots, so if price is a bigh issue then get that. Shuttle has proven itself to be a company that can make a KT266 board, and now it has a Raid board with the KT266a.

I am waiting for VIA to add ATA133 and USB2.0 to the south bridge before I upgrade(maybe even DDR333 to the north), that and see if this board will support the next AMD chip. Which looks to be coming out on time, as they already have running samples.

That made me think about when I paid $250 for the first PIII 500E........the first jump from slot1 to fcpga. Wish I got Blue at that time.

thanks for the updated deal guys ... sorry for the lame price; like i said, my first deal post ... guess i need to do a little more research next time. it's just that this looks like the ultimate kt266a board to me and i want it!!!

ACDC: I have a kg7 raid too, but hey, is another $200 really worth it for the marginal performance difference kr7a over the kg7r?
I think Id rarther spend $200 or so on a dual abit mobo when that comes out and give this one a miss.
