Abit KG7 vers. Asus v7700, same problems as before???

I have serious problems with the 3D graphics for some of my games.
In one game, textures becomes black i certain moments.
In another game (Giants) i get like 1 frame/4 sec... doesnt matter if i lower all the graphics to mininum, same framerate, it feel like the processor is trying to do all the work, but the 3D-graphics work, i can see that.

Ive heard about non fixable problems between Asus V7700 and Abit KT7, is this maybe the same problems.

Specs:
Abit KG7 Raid
Asus V7700 (latest drivers and detonator 3 and DirectX 8)
SB PCI128 (latest drivers)
Windows 2000 Pro (SP2 + all hotfixes)

Seriusly dont know what to do!

What do you mean by latest drivers AND Detonator 3

what are these latest drivers?

You can't have ASUS drivers AND NVidia drivers installed at the same time.

I might be totally misunderstanding you...but that sounds like what your saying.

Err, sorry to interupt but the latest nvidia driver is NOT detonator 3. The latest is detonator 4. Does this problem also happen in other 3d app, eg 3dmark2001?

Ooops..
what i meant was that i tried both the Asus drivers AND Detonator drivers and all other weird drivers like AGP Miniport etc etc.

Do u know what the exact problem was between KT7 and V7700?

Havent tried Detonator 4... but im going to now!
Get back if it works.. but i doubt it.

Dont know about other apps, got this motherboard 3 days ago, havent installed many programs.

Damn... Detonator 4 Alias Detonator XP/2000 makes no difference... starting to get VERY bored with this!

ANYONE know anything about these problems???

That board had problems when I first used it. I think it has to do with the order you install drivers, but that was on Win98se. I had to install AMD AGP miniport, then the 4 in 1 without the AGP drivers, the DirectX8, then other drivers.
