Abit KA7-100 Cpu Drive strengh

the ka7-100 m/b has something called the pull up and pull down strength in the softmenu, with default setting of i think 3 and 2

will changing these be of any use, i am not oer clocking my athlon 650, .18 core.

Leave em at default then. These CPU timing settings are best left alone unless you're OC'ng or using a TBird. For the former higher settings give more stability, for the TBird it seems Abit recommends lower settings (0,1)...some have used Auto setting successfully.:D

NuovoTech, I am overclocking on my KA7-100, and I am interested what adjusting these settings can accomplish. Is higher more stable, but less performance? I am always tweaking, but I have never found anywhere where these settings are explained. Thanks in advance..

anyone anythin more on the cpu pull up strength and the cpu drive strength.... in the softmenu of abit ka7

well,
i cant say what they exactly do,
but i can say mine likes to run with them set at o + 0,
respectively with no ill side effects,
menus an programs seem to start a little faster,
then again,could be wishfull thinking on my behalf,

but,it will post a few more fps's in q3 than set to defaults :)
