Abit IT7 Max2 Ver2 SATA RAID Question

Can anyone tell me if the SATA on this board is raid capable?

When the HPT37x chip screen comes up it shows as trying to detect 8 devices. (4 IDE and 4 SATA?)

Interested in getting 2 Raptors to replace my four 3yr old 30gig maxtors.
