The it7 I purchased had a bad ram socket, one of the pins was completely missing.

Just a word of warning.

no don't buy refurb stuff from newegg!! much of the time they're just unverified customer returns, not refurbished at all!!!

Just got an it7 max2 v.2 from them. It shipped with floppy and HD cables and a manual/CD/faceplate from a different Abit motherboard (IT7 / IT7E, not the Max2 one). If anyone wants those, PM me. Called Newegg, mainly to offer to return the incorrect parts to them. They didnt want them back but offered me some credit which I happily accepted. Ordered the correct faceplate from Abit via ExcaliburPC for $3. I'm a happy camper.

<edit>
Just to clarify, yes, that was a refurb motherboard. I also got a brand new retail p4 1.8a and it would only go up to 2.2Ghz. Is that normal? I thought they were supposed to go up to 2.4 easy?

I order one 2 weeks ago, got a ver 1 instead. Sent it back right away. I was pretty pissed. Newegg refurbs suck.

I am looking at my Radeon 8500 "refurbished" from newegg. It went bad just after 10 days so I am stuck with it. That was about $80 if I recall it well.
F**k newegg and their refurbished, excuse my French.
Good luck buying case from them too. I am still assembling the last one I got in pieces, some are missing so I am using superglue.:p

I ordered an IT7 MAX (v1) refurbished from Newegg for $49 a week ago and it's working great. I was suprised that everything was in the mobo box including 2IDE cables, the manual, etc. Sorry to hear about others' bad experiences.

A couple of weeks ago I had pretty good record with their refurbished. Keep on buying, I can assure you that sooner or later you'll hit the wall when your luck runs out. Hopefully not on some of those $200 cards. ;)
