One of the copper fans near the cpu on the mobo is too tall and hits the cooler.
Should i modify the cooler?

I would try turning it 90*, should clear the PWM heatsink though I'm not sure if the fan will still hit on the northbridge heatsink. I'd clip the chipset heatsink with either some good dykes or a set of tin-snips.
You could always just replace the chipset heatsinks with some other heatsinks. A IFX-SLI HR-05 on the northbridge w/ a 80x15mm fan and a regular HR-05 on the southbridge passive would keep them nice and cool.

An 80x15mm fan would be kinda noisy, wouldn't it?
I had one on the backside of the motherboard tray when I had my CM690. I ended up putting it on a rheostat.

you don't need much CFM to really get the IFX to cool really well, remember it's just on a chipset. It's basically the size of CPU coolers from a few years back, just slapped on a chipset.

Depending on the case & the fans inside it, could it run passive? Say if someone had a P18x w/a fan in the upper hdd cage?
