ABIT IP35 Pro - New Build - Lock Up

Hello:

Received all my parts yesterday and spend the afternoon putting together my new rig.

Initially the system booted fine and went right into BIOS.

After saving it hung with a flashing cursor on the first boot.

After several attempted reboots I got to various points in the boot but the system kept locking (got error codes all over the spectrum - no repeatable error).

It has all the symptoms of an overheating issue. i.e. the longer I let it sit, the further the boot gets.

I tried re-seating the heat sink on the CPU (Intel retail CPU and sink).

Has anyone else experienced the heat sink issue referenced in the IP35 Pro review done here on anandtech?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Splotto

Hello:

Looks like I found my issue......the dreaded undervolt. Set my mem voltage to 2.1 and it seems to be going fine.

Thanks,

Nothing like waiting for all the new build parts to arrive, putting everything together, and having a problem right from the start. Glad it was easily fixed.
